Offer: Forestry and Wildlife Specialist:Custom Forestry ApplicationsJob description:Job InformationForestry and Wildlife SpecialistBack to listTitle Forestry and Wildlife Specialist Organization Custom Forestry Applications Job detail Listing description Implement technical wildlife and forestry activities on state and private land all over Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa, and Missouri at project locations. Conducts timber stand improvement, hack and squirt, mechanical and hand conservation tree planting, edge feathering, cedar removal, spraying invasive plants, streambank stabilization projects, and other forestry related activities. Assist with ground preparation, planting native grass, food plot installation, maintaining boundary markers, prescribed fire, equipment repair and maintenance, along with mixing and applying herbicides. Perform other tasks as required. Company Overview: Custom Forestry Applications LLC was established in 2008 and operates out of Robinson, Kansas specializing in forestry and wildlife management practices for state, federal, and private landowners. Most projects are within a 1-3 hour radius from the headquarters. Lodging and vehicles are provided while traveling. Holiday pay is offered along with paid time off. No health benefits are offered currently. The typical work week is Monday through Thursday, 10-hour days. Qualifications Bachelors of Science in forestry, wildlife biology, natural resources or other closely related fields preferred, but willing to train the right person. expertise of and capability to operate tractors, light duty trucks and trailers, all-terrain vehicles, chainsaws, sprayers, and other farm implements. Individual must be extremely self-motivated, dependable, hardworking, and eager to learn.
